The company manages a sourcing yard in Parakou where the shea sourcing activities are mainly monitored.

We share a sense of ownership and pride for the positive impact our company makes.About the roleWith a focus on the shea value chain in West Africa, the role is central to establishing and maintaining a specialized laboratory for monitoring product quality. The QA/QC Technician WAF prepares and structures results in Excel for different target groups, enabling informed and data-driven decision-making.
Reporting within the quality function and working closely with quality teams across AAK sites, the role ensures alignment with company standards and fosters collaboration across locations. Responsibilities also include sample management, development of work instructions, creation of training materials, and continuous improvement initiatives in line with AAK guidelines.ResponsibilitiesActively contribute to the installation and setup of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Analyze the supply chain to build a strong understanding of the shea business in West Africa and identify relevant analytical needs.
Collaborate with country offices across the region to support their operations with appropriate analyses and reporting.
Oversee the distribution of samples within the region and ensure proper storage of retained samples.
Perform independent analysis of shea kernels and shea butter.
Monitor, record, and evaluate data within designated systems.
Provide support for data management and carry out administrative tasks within the Quality DepartmentAbout youBachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, process engineering, food technology, or similar discipline.
Fundamental knowledge of food and feed quality, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in sourcing, logistics, or process engineering within the food or feed sector is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Solid understanding of laboratory parameters and analytical methods.
You are fluent in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in French is a plus but not required.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy, integrity, and interpretation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Awareness of regional food and feed legislation and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
